On 26th January 2023 UNA Tanzania organized The National Youth Dialogue for Change with the support of USAID Tanzania, Freedom House, Voice, PACT Tanzania and Foundation for Civil Society. The objective of the dialogue was to provide a platform for stakeholders and young people’s engagement  in making NATIONAL ANNUAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN FRAMEWORK AND BUDGET WORK FOR YOUTH INCLUSION AND ECONOMIC RIGHTS.

The youth dialogue for change provided a space for youth to inform their priorities in the upcoming National Annual Development Plan Framework and budgeting process for 2023/2024.Inclusion of young people in planning and budgeting processes is crucial for inclusive and sustainable development outcomes.During the dialogue young people identified key priority areas for their development including; Financial Inclusion, Enabling business environment, Skills Development in particular Digital skills, Employment opportunities, Health and Education.

The dialogue was officiated by Dr. Threza Mtenga, Assistant Commissioner National Planning Department- Social Economic Development Analysis. She said that the priorities of the youth will be taken to the budget committee for considerations during the preparation of 2023/2024 budget.
